Career Opportunities: They Are Out There!

Well it finally feels like summer has returned to the Northeast.  It hasn't rained for two days now and the temperature has climbed back into the 80's.  Yeah!!  Looks like I'll be visiting my vacation spot in the backyard today after I finish my chores and errands.

For those of you who have been following my blog, you know that I have been trying to figure out what my next career move will be.  Well I have a few updates for you.  In the past week I have received two calls from people with job offers that I might be interested in (it helps to put the word out that you're available for hire).  Interestingly, one of the positions involves working directly with children and the other involves working with the parents.  I'm leaning towards working with parents.  It's within the scope of my field and I would still be able to help children only from a different perspective.

I also landed a small writing project that I hope will turn into a long term project and I am building a website that should be ready for release by the end of the month.   It's both amazing and exciting to see what can happen when you dare to take chances.  I'm really not content to just maintain the status quo anymore.  So what if others can't relate to what I'm doing.  They don't have to.  I don't live to please others anymore.  How liberating!!!  And fortunately, I have a very supportive partner.

What are you still yearning to do?  What are you waiting for?  Take a chance and see what happens.  You may be quite surprised!

    Congrats on the opportunities!

The first step is always the hardest. Funny after one takes that first step, everything else falls in line.

Thanks Mark. I'm just amazed at the possibilities that are available to us when we get our thinking and our attitude right (positive).
